Convene stakeholders/Networking
The three IUCN members (SGE, ProGEO and SEDPGyM) are active in networking towards the implementation of this resolution, not just for the period of the programme, but also continued thereof. and contacting stakeholders amongst the education, tourism and nature conservation communities within their own geographical and thematic/sectorial fields of action. These include the organization of meetings and scientific symposia.

Policy influencing/advocacy
All three organizations (xx) promote advocacy in their context, trying to influence the regional, national and international governments and institutions, developing new policy approaches, negotiations and discussions, assisting in the development and improvement of legislation relating to conservation; encouraging governments to adhere to and implement international agreements relating to geoconservation, establishing governance structures (multi-stakeholders dialogues, task forces, governmental bodies, etc.). This includes active participation in the Geoheritage Specialist Group of the WCPA of IUCN.

Scientific/technical activities
Promotion and development of geoheritage inventories, including data collection, research, monitoring of sites and collections, development of new methodologies, etc., not only in Europe but also in Latin AMerica and Africa.
