The online survey prepared in 2018 has been launched in February 2019.
2. Natural Capital Government dialogue - What, Why and How
This efforts was continued in 2018 and a final document produced (see attached) after an extensive consultation process that culminated at the Natural Capital Week in Paris in November 2018. This document contains over 50 examples of government best practices that show that many governments already do act on natural capital.
3. Biodiversity supplement to the Natural Capital Protocol
Under the leadership of the Conservation Cambridge Initiative the supplement that highlights the importance of biodiversity is being developed. However the funding is not yet secured for the next phase of the supplement development.
4. We Value Nature
An new campaign, financed by the EU Horizon 2020 started in November 2018 over the next 3 years, has been launched to substantially increase the uptake of natural capital approaches by business and identify the key obstacles and barriers to be addressed. This effort will mainly focus on providing capacity building, networking and exchange opportunities but ultimately to create a networks of networks in this space. IUCN is working together with WBCSD; Oppla and the ICEAW (Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales) as well as the Natural Capital Coalition.
