Scientific/technical activities
Describe the results/achievements of the actions taken: 
• April: The draft policy document was circulated by the co-chairs to the task team. Comments were received through mid-June.
• July: IUCN’s FCP and the Co-Chairs of the task force submitted a discussion forum proposal to WCC in Marseille 2020.
• October: comments received from the task team were processed and an updated version of the policy document was sent out for wider consultation amongst IUCN’s Commissions and Secretariat. Comments were received through the end of November.
• December: the FCP consolidated the comments received during the consultation process and is coordinating with the task team co-chairs the way forward for the last stages of the draft policy document, to take place in Q1 and Q2 2020.
What challenges/obstacles have been encountered in the implementation of this Resolution and how were they overcome : 
The majority of task team members has actively engaged with the preparation process of the draft policy document, although there are a few members representing the tropics that have not been very active. This might generate some missed opportunities to integrate input and views from experts in these regions.
Briefly describe what future actions are needed for the implementation of this Resolution: 
Activities in Q1 and Q2 of 2020 include:
i) Processing of comments and update of policy document: Jan 15th,
ii) Presentation at IUCN’s Council: Feb 8th, 2020,
iii) Dissemination and outreach activities pre-Congress via blog and social media on corporate IUCN channels: March – May 2020,
iv) Forum event at Congress and sensitization campaign in the exhibition space: June 2020.
