World Tiger Day was celebrated with school students in the Western Ghats, where tigers live. Some students wore tiger masks and tiger dress symbolizing the animal and to create more impact on the issue.
It was highlighted that tigers face enormous threat by forest degradation and anthropogenic activities and its population is decreasing and the need to conserve the animal and protecting the forests. The Tiger verses Human conflict should be analyzed and positive measures should be initiated to solve the conflict.
