Activities carried out to implement this Resolution
Activity
Education/Communication/Raising awareness
Description and results/achievements of activities:
ECO has fostered and supported the rights of people to a healthy environment, and recognition and respect for the rights of the environment itself and of indigenous people. We have somewhat resisted the idea that this set of issues should be solely focussed on human rights and we continue to insert the issue of human and corporate responsibility into discourse and law. In relation to the issue to the environment of person-type rights, we are pressing for ethical and legal recognition of eco-centric rights rather than contorting rivers or other aspects of the environment into a human rights framework,
Status
On-going
Activity
Policy influencing/advocacy

Please report on the result /achievement of the actions taken
This is a work in progress of socialising the ideas and promoting both human rights and the eco-centric rights of nature. Some aspects of the environment have been given "personhood" rights with guardians in New Zealand.
