Convene stakeholders/Networking
Education/Communication/Raising awareness
Policy influencing/advocacy
Describe the results/achievements of the actions taken:
Updated Sustainable Forestry Initiative’s (SFI) standards, including a new due diligence system for the avoidance of controversial sources. SFI has an Illegal Logging Policy, while the SFI Forest Management Standard has three requirements to safeguard against the negative impacts of deforestation and protect native ecosystem.

The resolution has been circulated widely and is being promoted specifically with natural resource crime and corruption communities. There is now greater recognition of the role that whistle-blowers can play in promoting the legality of supply chains and connections to combating corruption.

Online meeting with members of IUCN Commissions to discuss resolution and needs for implementation.
What challenges/obstacles have been encountered in the implementation of this Resolution and how were they overcome :
Not a lot of ongoing work within IUCN on illegal logging. There is no clear lead on natural resource crime and corruption nor on whistle-blowers.
Briefly describe what future actions are needed for the implementation of this Resolution:
Task force with Members, Commissions and Secretariat to develop roadmap on implementation of resolution.
