WCC 2020 Res 062 - Activity Report

Implementation of postgraduate and undergraduate courses related to Biodiversity and Conservation of Natural Resources (Biodiversity Conservation; Biodiversity and Conservation of Seed Plants). These courses cover the importance and methods of classification of seed plants. The role of genetics in biosystematics, biogeography and conservation were discussed. Current status, threats, in situ and ex situ conservation of Malaysian flora were emphasized. This year we conducted a field study on the diversity of flora, particularly on hill and lower montane forests in Peninsular Malaysia. The field study involved a total 15 postgraduate and undergraduate students (age ranged 20-35 years old).
