Policy influencing/advocacySuite aux négociations BBNJ (7-18 mars), le CF UICN a appelé les États à finaliser et adopter un traité sur la haute mer ambitieux et opérationnel lors de la 5ème session prévue en août 2022 et a rappelé les recommandations du Congrès sur les aires marines protégées et les études d’impact environnemental. A l’occasion du One Ocean Summit, l’UE, rejoint par 16 autres pays, avait lancé la « Coalition de la Haute ambition pour un traité de la Haute mer » afin de conclure cette année un accord international opérationnel.
