Convene stakeholders/NetworkingAWF co-convened the inaugural African Protected Areas Congress including the pre APAC congress for IPLCs. The overarching objective of the Africa Protected Areas Congress (APAC) was to position Africa protected and conserved areas within the broader goals of economic development and community well- being and to increase the understanding of vital role parks play in conserving biodiversity and delivering the ecosystem services that underpin human welfare and livelihoods.Completed
Please report on the result /achievement of the actions taken: 
APAC and the pre APAC congress for IPLCs resulted in the IPLC Declaration https://apacongress.africa/download/the-iplcs-declaration-to-apac2022/, which significantly informed and influenced the outcomes of APAC and resulted in the opening for IPLC representation in the Steering Committee to A Pan-African Conservation Trust.
