Education/Communication/Raising awarenessMr Vishal Gupta, the CEC commission member from India undertook several outreach activities and conducted lectures on the importance of Sustainable travel and the imminent need to move away from single use plastics. These activities were taken up as part of communication and outreach programme. Completed
Field activitiesWith an aim towards educating the citizens on the risks and dangers of plastic pollution a one week " Clean Our Hills " campaign was undertaken with a group of 21 volunteers in Northern part of India. This effort was coordinated under the leadership of Mr Vishal gupta, a veteran pilot. The group carried Eco bags for collection of plastic waste along several trekking and hill trails. The enthusiasm of the volunteers for fantastic and some even collected plastic waste which were strewn at a distance along mountain slopes. a Standard operating procedure has been put in place to ensure that every trekking group carries Eco bags and pick up any plastic litter as and when they find it. This has resulted in much cleaner and pristine environment . On-going

2. Cleaner hills due to the "Clean our Hills" campaign. (21 volunteers)
3. Conduced several lectures on Sustainable development, Climate Change, Climate Justice and on the importance of ' Moderation in Consumption" vis a vis its relation to sustainability.
