The IYRP organized a joint session together with ILRI, WWF, IUCN and other organizations to promote rangeland and the International Year of Rangeland and Pastoralists 2026 at the World Economic Forum June 2022.

The International Year of Rangelands and Pastoralists 2026 was designated by the UNGA. This provide impetus for action on restoration of rangelands and grasslands.

Description
Over the next years 2023 - 2026 preceding the IYRP 2026 celebrations, we will convene capacity building session as well as awareness raising to elevate the global profile of rangelands and grasslands as a whole.
