Describe the results/achievements of the activities
During the first semester of 2023, we made various efforts with the sponsor Cultura Ambiental Uruguay to seek financing to carry out activities within the framework of the resolution. In this sense, we explore two specific options: IKI Small Grants and The Global EbA Fund. We held several meetings and actions between the Secretariat, Cultura Ambiental Uruguay, and CEDEPESCA, to prepare a proposal (based on the mapping of the various actions carried out last year jointly with the members of the commissions and other co-sponsors). Due to issues of the necessary requirements, we were unable to advance in the presentation of the proposal. However, we will continue to explore other opportunities.
We also developed a 2 year budget exercise as per request of the Secretariat.
During the second semester, we began the exploration together with the sponsor Cultura Ambiental Uruguay in the realization of a webinar to give visibility to resolution 014; enhance the role of IUCN member organizations and commissions that work in the La Plata Basin, and establish links with other key institutions and initiatives in the Basin. For the realization of this webinar, we propose to make approaches with the Intergovernmental Commission of the Cuenca del Plata - CIC-Plata. We will resume this activity in the last quarter of 2023.

Challenges/obstacles encountered in the implementation of this Resolution and measures taken
Fundarising: Currently there are no funds available to implement the resolution, since there are not any active projects in this area of influence. There is a need to secure external funding to implement the resolution (initial activities related to the development of the preliminary work plan and the meetings with sponsor, co-sponsors and focal points from commissions) have been implemented virtually and aside of any active project.
Participation: last year, we summoned the focal points from commissions and members to several meetings to co-organize activities to plan and implemnent the resolution. Participation rates varied, but overall it was difficult to achieve high levels of representation of all partners.
