| Field activities | The SAVIA Foundation of Bolivia is a counterpart of the Operation Jaguar Project, which is driven by the Dutch Committee of the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN-NL) in Bolivia, Suriname, and Guyana1. The main objective of the Operation Jaguar Project is the conservation of the Panthera onca species, emphasizing major threats, especially in relation to habitat loss, poaching, and trafficking of its parts. The goals of the Operation Jaguar Project was to achieve greater knowledge about key aspects of the state of the jaguar in Bolivia and the dynamics related to its hunting and trafficking; to achieve greater support and empathy towards the figure of the jaguar and wildlife by authorities, society in general, and international organizations; to support the strengthening of control systems and the judicial body; and to have an impact at the continental and international level, in order to induce or promote more extensive and forceful joint efforts for the protection of the jaguar and achieve a tacit reduction of major threats, especially global trafficking. The Project has prioritized training actions around Jaguar and Wildlife, aimed at park rangers from protected areas, officials from the Public Ministry and Judicial Body, municipal technicians, among other diverse actors. SAVIA is part of the Jaguar Alliance Network, a coalition of private and academic institutions formed in 2018 with support from the General Directorate of Biodiversity and Protected Areas (DGBAP), with the aim of supporting the actions of this official body in favor of protecting Jaguar and biodiversity1. |

Challenges/obstacles encountered in the implementation of this Resolution and measures taken
