Description and results/achievements of activities:
The Global Group has now completed 22 quarterly meetings which bring together regional representation of IUCN member committees across the world together with chairs of Commissions, the Secretariat and a representative of IUCN Council to discuss topica issues and share knowledge and experience.

A lack of any budget prevents consideration of additional activitity. Challenges also include a limited time resource from participating members who generally operate on a voluntary basis.
Please report on the result /achievement of the actions taken
Received presentations, working closely with the Secretariat on strategic matters, revision of the Global Directory for National and Regional Committees (2023), input to the Contributions for Nature Platform Advisory Group and the digital Unite for Nature Magazine editorial board. We have also been addressed by the Director General and discussed annual reporting with him. Established a task force on civic spaces (2023) with international leadership.
