Among other things, the resolution calls for members to support national statistical offices in recognising the three components of biodiversity (ecosystems, species and genes) in their natural capital accounting initiatives.
The CEESP and CEM focal points have had informal discussions with the secretariat focal point for this resolution, but it is hard to identify a specific role that the focal points can play to progress this resolution, rather than raising awareness among their own commission members about its existence and relationship to their initiatives. It does not seem that the resolution will be particularly relevant to the activities of CEESP members.
What challenges have you encountered in implementing this Resolution and what measures have you taken to overcome them?:
Difficulty in identifying what actions CEESP focal point can take to progress this highly ecologiclly-and statistically-based resolution among CEESP members.
