| Policy influencing/advocacy | To strengthen the legal defence of nature and ensure environmental justice, Doğa Derneği has been actively involved in training legal professionals and building networks for nature conservation. We organised the Law and Nature Schools, where lawyers from various regions of Türkiye attended. This has expanded our Law and Nature Network to 129 members. Additionally, we conducted training sessions across bar associations, involving 48 lawyers, to promote the spread of environmental legal awareness. We also hosted a series of webinars on Climate Justice, engaging 394 legal experts who explored issues such as the impact of climate change on vulnerable groups, gender, and future generations. A new Climate Justice Network was formed, with 115 legal professionals committed to learning more about these critical issues. | On-going | Full activity report | |
| Capacity building | As part of its capacity-building program for judges, the National School of the Judiciary and Court Officers (École Nationale de la Magistrature et des Greffes - ENMG) of Madagascar organized five (05) training sessions in 2024, funded by WWF, focusing on the following topics: Laws and procedures relating to wildlife trafficking and the fight against corruption in Madagascar. The first one took place from May 15 to 17, 2024 in Antananarivo for 33 magistrates, the second from May 22 to 24, 2024 in Toliara for 11 magistrates, the third from June 19 to 21, 2024 in Antsiranana with the participation of 13 magistrates; The forth training session: Combating transnational organized crime linked to wildlife traffickings" was held from July 01 to 05 in Antananarivo for 28 magistrates; and the fifth training "Combating money laundering linked to wildlife trafficking" was held from August 05 to 09, 2024 in Antananarivo for 32 magistrates. At the end of these five training sessions, 114 magistrates have been trained. The objective is to reinforce the enforcement of Madagascar's existing legislation to tackle wildlife crime. |

| Capacity building | Dans le cadre de renforcement de capacités des Magistrats, l’École Nationale de la Magistrature et des Greffes de Madagascar (ENMG) a organisé au cours de cette année 2024 cinq (05) sessions de formation financées par le WWF sur les thématiques suivants : - « Lois et procédures en matière de trafic d'espèces sauvages et lutte contre la corruption à Madagascar » du 15 au 17 mai 2024 à Antananarivo en faveur de 33 magistrats, du 22 au 24 mai 2024 à Toliara en faveur de 11 magistrats, du 19 au 21 juin 2024 à Antsiranana avec la participation de 13 magistrats ; - « Lutte contre la criminalité transnationale organisée liée aux trafics d'espèces sauvages » du 01 au 05 juillet à Antananarivo en faveur de 28 magistrats ; - « Lutte contre les flux financiers illicites liés aux trafics d'espèces sauvages » du 05 au 09 Août 2024 à Antananarivo en faveur de 32 magistrats. A l’issu de ces cinq sessions de formations, 114 Magistrats sont formés. L’objectif c’est de renforcer l’application de la législation existante à Madagascar pour mieux combattre la criminalité liée aux espèces sauvages. La formation est organisée en partenariat financier et technique avec le WWF. |

Describe the results/achievements of the activities
As part of its capacity-building program for judges, the National School of the Judiciary and Court Officers (École Nationale de la Magistrature et des Greffes - ENMG) of Madagascar organized five (05) training sessions in 2024, funded by WWF, focusing on the following topics: Laws and procedures relating to wildlife trafficking and the fight against corruption in Madagascar.
