What challenges have you encountered in implementing this Resolution and what measures have you taken to overcome them?: 
COICA, the main promoter of RES129, has faced serious operational constraints due to an internal conflict among its members in 2023. Situation is improving but is still challenging.
Identify and briefly describe what future actions are planned for the implementation of this Resolution: 
Future ActionDescription
Policy influencing/advocacySUR will try to reestablish a strong relationship with COICA and rediscuss the possibility of working on the formulation and implementation of a joint strategy. This includes organizing a roadshow in Washington, D.C., to try to commit funding from philanthropies and other sources for interventions in line with RES129.
Policy influencing/advocacySUR will try to take advantage of the mandate of the 2023 Amazon Summit of Belém do Pará and of the upcoming UNFCCC COP30 of 2025 for combining Amazon countries' governments to discuss how to align narratives and proposals for the Amazon basin and prepare a portfolio of interventions to be presented to potential donors.
