In 2024, the High Seas Specialist Group
focused on developing three projects
related to supporting decision-makers across
geographies to be on the same page
about the tools available to them, the
meaning of criteria for identifying areas in
need of protection, and alignment between
proposed Area-Based Management Tools to ensure representativity.
