The 21st Türkiye Bird Conference, organised in collaboration with the Gazi University, focused on the theme "Wildlife Crimes and Birds." This year’s conference brought together 30 academics and conservation experts from across Türkiye to share their research and experiences on topics ranging from wildlife crime prevention and legislation to the use of artificial intelligence in nature conservation. The event featured a wide range of discussions, including the archaeological findings related to birds, the role of technology in conservation, and the ongoing threats to bird populations. Participants engaged in a birdwatching walk at Mogan Lake, where they assessed the current state, ecology, and threats faced by the lake's ecosystem.
