Describe the results/achievements of the activities
Following the previous report, the relevant IUCN Members, in coordination with WCPA and the Secretariat developed and finalised the KGA guidelines, including an online Union-wide consultation. The results are published by WCPA (WCPA Issues Paper No 6 - see weblink).
WCPA also published a second issues paper on the inclusion of Geodiversity in the IUCN programme and definitions, and have engaged with members in the new IUCN Programme and 20 year vision in this regard.
The IUCN Members have proposed Motion 125 for consideration at WCC 2025.

Challenges/obstacles encountered in the implementation of this Resolution and measures taken
The challenges are mainly now regarding the recognition of this work at WCC, and the resourcing of the required actions. IUCN members are actively supporting these needs.
