The implementation of this resolution has become focused on the generous proposal of Jeju and the Republic of Korea to host a UNESCO Category 2 Centre to support the different international designations, linked specifically to the Science Sector of UNESCO. This proposal has to be made to UNESCO and follows timelines and procedures that are set by UNESCO. Jeju hosted a workshop on this proposal in September 2017 which was successful in setting the possible priorities for the proposed Centre.
