Options Magazine presents IIASA and its latest research for a non-specialist audience.

   

The newsletter started in 1994 as a result of the third EFNCP biennial conference in Pau in July 1992. Its aim is to complement the conferences through the exchange of views, ideas and information.

   

The latest research results, new projects, information on EFI events, news from EFI members: EFI NEWS brings all this to you three times a year, with two printed issues and one pdf-only. 

   

The Encyclopedia of the Swedish Flora and Fauna is a project which will publish circa 120 volumes in the 20-25 years from 2005 onward. It constitutes a series of identification handbooks in Swedish. The 50,000 species which can be identified without highly advanced equipment will be described in detail, including information on distribution and biology. For most of them, distribution maps as well as illustrations e.g. watercolours will also be provided. The groups containing the remaining 30 000 species will be presented down to a suitable taxonomic level (e.g. families), with the species presented as checklists. All texts are written in Swedish, but each species has a short English summary - Key facts.

Peatlands International is the member magazine of IPS. It consists of about 30-60 pages with background reports on peat and  peatlands, reviews of conferences and books. It also publishes research findings, business reports and internal information on the IPS.

   

Argonauta publishes papers based on original research and review articles on malacology. 

   

The European Environment Agency (EEA) publishes Signals annually, providing a snapshot of issues of interest to the environmental debate and the wider public.

Freshwater Reviews is a peer-reviewed international journal dedicated to enhancing the understanding of inland waters. The content of review papers is primarily biological but papers covering limnology, policy and socio-economic aspects of fresh waters are acceptable if they are relevant to our understanding or management of fresh water biology. Fresh water is interpreted widely, embracing all inland waters including lakes, ponds and reservoirs, rivers and streams, as well as saline and caustic lakes, brackish waters, interstitial and groundwater environments.

   

The Australian Antarctic Magazine seeks to inform the Australian and international Antarctic community about the activities of the Australian Antarctic program.
