In 1983, a proposal was made to farmers to create a village organization and work in partnership. This cooperative organization then decides to build an irrigation canal and later to purchase a tractor. The irrigation project leads to better agricultural production and, in an area of scarce water, land and forest resources, this cooperative effort leads to an improved the quality of life.
