Scientific/technical activitiesContinued implemention of IUCN's work on geological heritage within the World Heritage Convention (advisory body role), and Global Geoparks Network (international cooperating partner).
Scientific/technical activitiesWCPA has created a Geoheritage Specialist Group, who have a developing programme of activities and have held their first group meeting in 2015. They could be approached for a report on their activities.
Please report on the result /achievement of the actions taken: 
Creation of new WCPA Specialist Group. Advice on geological sites to UNESCO World Heritage Committee.
