Field activitiesProviding methods and tools to coastal local communities for improving the management of marine resources
FundraisingSupporting coastal local communities in putting in place management methods and tools for local marine resources.
Please report on the result /achievement of the actions taken: 
Several local communities in South West Indian Ocean (Madagascar) and in the South Pacific are empowered to manage better their marine resources. This includes local fisheries and community-scale aquaculture.

Capacity-buildingInform and train local communities on the importance of managing their local resources and provide methods and tools to do so.
Convene stakeholders/NetworkingIntroducing locally managed marine areas to the MPA community as a way to explore in order to reconcile protection and sustainable use of marine resources at local scale.
