ActionDescription
Capacity-buildingA Northeast Asia Regional Workshop was organized in March 2016, including participants from China, DRPK, ROK and Mongolia. The workshop was focused on Protected Areas and IUCN Red List. Over the workshop, extensive discussions among the participants have taken place to discuss future collaboration.
Convene stakeholders/NetworkingA workshop of IUCN members in China, ROK and Japan was organized in June 2016, to discuss future collaboration.
Please report on the result /achievement of the actions taken: 
A workshop on transboundary protected areas is being dicussed for later 2016, among the members and partners in NEA countries, based on previous events and discussions. The stakeholders in the sub-region are also interested to develop an IUCN NEA programme.
What challenges have you encountered in implementing this Resolution and what measures have you taken to overcome them?: 
IUCN China is actively fundraising to move the IUCN NEA programme forward
