Education/Communication/Raising awarenessConsumer awareness: various governments and NGOs. Focus on scientific documentation of conservation biology and distribution of turtles around the world, providing a scientific basis for threats evaluation and IUCN Red List status assessments.
Field activitiesSecuring critical habitat: Land purchases focused on protection of native habitat for endangered turtles and tortoises have been made or are in progress in Brazil, Cambodia, Mexico, and South Africa. Protected Area management improvements specific to turtles in Brazil, Cambodia, Colombia, Ecuador, Guatemala, Madagascar, Myanmar, and Philippines.
FundraisingFunding: SOS criteria have been expanded to allow turtle projects to qualify. TCF and MBZ have focused significant resources on endangered turtles and tortoises, helping to promote a groundswell of surveys, management, and in-situ conservation initiatives.
Policy influencing/advocacyPolicy work - e.g. CITES.
Scientific/technical activitiesEstablishing and maintaining ex-situ assurance colonies of critically threatened turtle species.

What challenges have you encountered in implementing this Resolution and what measures have you taken to overcome them?: 
Work on poaching and illegal trade of turtles and tortoises - anti-poaching patrols increased in key locations, trade monitoring and law enforcement assistance continuing, and policy work. Increased fundraising and resource capacity work.
