Description and results/achievements of activities:
The IUCN definition of Nature-based Solutions (NbS) and the NbS principles have been presented in different international workshops and conferences, both by CEM/IUCN members or non IUCN related people. A publication on "Nature-based solutions to address global societal challenges" was published, explaining the IUCN NbS definition, presenting the different types of NbS, the societal challenges that NbS address, and presenting 10 case-studies, where NbS were successfully implemented. This publication is being used and has been cited 22 times in grey and scientific literature (as for 30/1/2018). A CEM/IUCN webpage was prepared focusing on NbS.

Description and results/achievements of activities:
The IUCN principles for Nature-based Solutions, as annexed in Resolution 069, are currently being further analysed and developed. The operational framework for implementing Nature-based Solutions is being developed, including the guidelines and standards.
