Implementation
Indicate and briefly describe any actions that have been carried out to implement this Resolution:
Please report on the result /achievement of the actions taken:
The Resolution have been discussed and partially attended but the need for Commission has not been addressed. We can look at Danube River Commission, Mekong River Commission, and other River commissions are all gathered by coriparians. Bangladesh is at a disadvantage for being a lower riparian for they have no hand in joint management of international rivers. River waters are withdrawn unilaterally upstream. IUCN can come forward and contribute to such a Commission which will not only support sustainable development but also aid all nations in conservation of nature.
What challenges have you encountered in implementing this Resolution and what measures have you taken to overcome them?:

Identify and briefly describe what future actions are planned for the implementation of this Resolution:
Future ActionDescription
Convene stakeholders/NetworkingOnce the international community including iucn makes up its mind to hold such a Commission it will move forward. No country should insist on bilateralism to take advantage. All are equal and it is about time to move forward towards sustainable development.
Policy influencing/advocacyCapacity building, advocacy and using other models as examples. IUCN can move from Dialogue to Action. Commission of all coriparians should be immediately implemented . IUCN can help set up such a Commission with lessons from existing Commissions.
