Action	Description	Status
Convene stakeholders/Networking	The plastic portfolio is working across 5 regions to implement a harmonized set of assessments (plastic pollution, policy, economic) and action plans to reduce plastic leakage into the environment. First steps have included stakeholder engagement and convening to define nationally-appropriate implementation of global project strategy.	On-going
Scientific/technical activities	Development of knowledge base about plastic pollution including publication of peer reviewed reports.	On-going

Future Action	Description
Convene stakeholders/Networking	Regional multi-stakeholder dialogues on opportunities and challenges to reduce plastic leakage into the environment will be facilitated at WCC 2020 based on projects lessons.
Policy influencing/advocacy	Based on the results from IUCN harmonized set of assessments (plastic pollution, policy, economic), recommendations to reduce plastic leakage into the environment will be developed in consultation with national and regional stakeholders.
