Since the 2017 report, there has been progress on this resolution made by our membership especially by BNHS, WWF and others in documenting the faunal and floral diversity especially birds and providing policy guidance in targeted wetlands identified as national importance.
An global event to look forward to, is the upcoming 'Wetland and Migratory Waterbirds of the Asian Flyways' from 18 to 22 November 2019 (https://cwamwaf.in/conference/) being organized by BNHS and MoEFCC.

Future actions / activities needed for the implementation of this Resolution
IUCN has been approached by BNHS to be part of the 'Wetland and Migratory Waterbirds of the Asian Flyways' meeting. We will continue to engage the membership in India and where opportunities arise and funds are available, will also partner with them in implementation. IUCN India office is also exploring possibilities for developing joint proposals on the same with its membership.
