Description and results/achievements of activities:
As the co-focal point alongside the Ramsar Secretariat for the UN SDG14 Community of Ocean Action for Mangroves, IUCN is working to track progress and encourage coordinated action including in the Pacific Region in mangrove protection, restoration, and sustainable management towards the implementation of SDG14 and other strongly linked SDGs such as SDG13, recognizing the important role of mangrove and coastal ecosystems for climate resilience.
