Activities carried out to implement this Resolution

Describe the results/achievements of the activities
1. The Global Directory of National and Regional Committees was reviewed.
2. The Global Group have so far met 11 times since its formation in 2016 via Skype. All regions are represented within the group and report on activities in their region.
3. The Global Group received reports from its members on their Regional Conservation Fora.
4. Preparation for the 2nd meeting of all National and Regional Committees.
UDG representatives have participated in all calls taking place in 2019 providing updates on the IUCN membership strategy and National Committee analysis. In addition, we have been required to add input on a number of other issues such as the preparations for the IUCN Congress 2020.
The NC Brochure has been updated.

Lack of financial resources to enable biannual face to face meetings.
Future actions / activities needed for the implementation of this Resolution
Strengthen Secretariat support to the group and to National and Regional Committees by implementing the Membership Strategy (capacity building, knowledge sharing, etc); continue preparing for the global meeting of National and Regional Committees during the first day of the WCC 2020; regular online meetings (every 3 months) and seek the possibility to meet face to face during the WCC 2020; give the group through its Members, the opportunity to comment on the Membership Strategy and National and Regional Committee review.
