Describe the results/achievements of the activities
There has been activities on these species, with meetings being held in China, in 2019. Also in the field, I am aware of activities relating to these species. However, within the framework of the resolution, the proponent of the resolution have been uncommunicative. In addition, the focal point in the IUCN China Office has not managed to receive information and has since left the organization. I have kept up to date with information and activities during "other" meetings such as Global Tiger Forum meetings. The DG has also attended meetings on tigers (more generically) as part of the Global Tiger Initiative Council.
Challenges/obstacles encountered in the implementation of this Resolution and measures taken
Although conservation measures relating to these species are taking place, the resolution is itself non-specific in terms of concrete needs and activities, and only really calls for acknowledgment, support (non-specific), encourage, etc. As such there are no real targets and goals to work against, no description of the barriers to these conservation activities.
Future actions / activities needed for the implementation of this Resolution
As a resolution, I would recommend the development of a series of key targets and concrete actions with milestones to work against. I should repeat I have yet to hear from the original proponents. Resolutions calling for "support" and "raising awareness" do not have any targets to work against making them hard to implement. There are no endpoints.
