Describe the results/achievements of the activities
Progress was made in obtaining funding to produce IUCN WCPA Best Practice Guidelines on cultural and spiritual significance of nature in the governance and management of protected and conserved areas. Most of the year has been spent in achieving a draft manuscript which is now at the stage of being reviewed for publication.
The Specialist Group has been active in developing several other publications that serve to advance the implementation of the resolution.

Challenges/obstacles encountered in the implementation of this Resolution and measures taken
The main obstacle has been to use a volunteer network to produce a manuscript that can be published by IUCN.
Future actions / activities needed for the implementation of this Resolution
Finalise the publication of the Best Practice Guidelines and ensure that relevant advice is given in policy fora.
