A report has been produced to catalogue the baseline status of existing peatland strategies globally. Strategies were identified through a combination of research and questionnaires which were distributed via the IUCN National Committees and global peatland networks. The CEM Peatland Specialist Group (led by the IUCN UK Peatland Programme) has been engaging with other nations on strategic development and will continue to showcase existing examples and support the development of new strategies.
Promotion of the IUCN Resolution continues through our engagement with other international partners in the United Nations, Ramsar, Wetlands International and the Global Peatlands Initiative. |
