SFI submitted comments on the IUCN Nature based solutions standard, including suggestions for criterion 3 (NbS result in net benefits to biodiversity and ecosystem integrity), criterion 5 (NbS is based on inclusive, transparent and empowering governance processes), criterion 6 (NbS equitably balances trade-offs between achievement of its primary goal(s) and the continued provision of multiple benefits), and criterion 8 (NbS are mainstreamed beyond standalone, time bound interventions). Beyond aiding in definitions, SFI is actively engaged in strategies that utilize NbS.
