Education/Communication/Raising awarenessMOBILE EDUCATION UNITS This key programme takes wildlife conservation education to over 80,000 school children annually. Equipped with a four-wheel vehicle, audio-visual equipment, power generator and education materials the WCK Mobile Education Officers reach out to schools in Kenya including those situated in far flung wilderness areas. Apart from the National Mobile Education Unit located at the Nairobi Head Quarters, WCK has 5 other Regional Mobile Education Units in Mombasa (for the coastal area), Kisumu (for Lake Victoria and Western area), Nakuru (for Rift valley), Kitui (for ASALs) and Meru (for Mountain ecosystem) offices. Over 200,000 has been reached through the Mobile Education Programme while over 250 teachers have been trained in communicating conservation in the past one year

Funding is the main challenge coupled with the impacts of covid-19 on the school calendar for extra curriculum activities
