Scientific/technical activities Ascoping paper is being prepared toexamine the key biodiversity issues emerging in inland fisheries, as a basis for future work. A FEG member (Jeppe Kolding)prepared for FAO a technical paper: Monitoring, assessing, and implementing Balanced Harvest approaches in data limited inland fisheries. The FEG Group is better prepared to deal with inland fisheries issues but funding remains a central issue. Good collaboration has been established with the Inland Fisheries Alliance and FAO inland fisheries unit.

Finding experts with a strong background on both inland fisheries and biodiversity conservation. Financial limitations.
