Description and results/achievements of activities:
In a context marked by the urgency of climate change, Tunisia faces significant challenges that deeply impact its natural and agricultural resources. This reality jeopardizes not only food security but also the economic well-being of rural communities, particularly women, who are among the most vulnerable groups to the harmful effects of increasingly extreme weather conditions. This report focuses on the precise evaluation of the impact of climate change on the female Agricultural Development Groups (GDA) in Sidi Bouzid, revealing the specific challenges these groups face in a rapidly changing environment. To achieve this, a rigorous methodology combining descriptive and typological analysis, including Multiple Component Analysis (ACM), was employed. The results highlight the significant effects of climate change on the "Battoumet" and "Magdiyet" GDAs, severely affecting their economic and social stability. Water scarcity and precipitation fluctuations have exacerbated familial tensions and reduced agricultural incomes, thereby intensifying the daily challenges faced by rural women in managing limited resources. Simultaneously, an in-depth analysis of interactions with external stakeholders underscored the crucial role of civil society and associations in enhancing the climate resilience of GDAs. Based on these findings, strategic recommendations are formulated to strengthen coordination among different stakeholders, expand existing partnerships, and facilitate access to essential technologies and resources to effectively support women in GDAs facing growing climate challenges.
