Description and results/achievements of activities:
IUCN ROWA implements projects that contribute to conducting scientific and technical activities through environmental studies, soil and water quality analysis, and the application of technological solutions for land restoration. This includes using modern agricultural techniques, developing sustainable environmental strategies, organizing workshops to train field teams and local communities on environmental conservation methods, and implementing interventions to improve water retention in degraded lands.

Challenges include security risks in conflict zones, limiting access and field activities, along with financial constraints threatening project sustainability. Coordinating efforts among stakeholders also requires time and effort. To address this, ROWA has strengthened donor partnerships and empowered local communities for sustainable environmental solutions.

IUCN ROWA has successfully implemented on-the-ground projects in conflict-affected areas, restoring degraded lands, improving soil and water quality, and addressing biodiversity loss. These efforts have enhanced ecosystem rehabilitation and strengthened community resilience.
Additionally, ROWA has conducted scientific and technical activities, including environmental studies, soil and water analysis, and modern agricultural techniques to support land restoration. Training workshops have equipped field teams and local communities with essential skills for environmental conservation.
ROWA has also strengthened stakeholder collaboration by organizing meetings and workshops with government agencies, NGOs, and experts. Through digital platforms and networking, ROWA has improved coordination and knowledge exchange. Active participation in international conferences has further fostered long-term cooperation and the adoption of best environmental practices in conflict-affected areas

Description
In the future, IUCN ROWA will focus on capacity building of local communities under this resolution by training them in environmental sustainability techniques, effective resource management, and the implementation of sustainable environmental solutions. Additionally, their participation in local environmental projects will be strengthened to ensure the long-term sustainability of ecosystem restoration efforts.
