In 2024, WCPA's Transboundary Conservation Specialist Group began efforts to increase the visibility and participation of transboundary conservation initiatives in the American continent, including pioneering work in the Maya Forest that encompasses seven protected areas across Mexico, Belize, and Guatemala.
