Description and results/achievements of activities:
Doğa Derneği has been actively addressing wildlife crime as an organised threat to biodiversity in Türkiye. This includes illegal hunting, trafficking, and poisoning of wildlife, with a focus on high-risk areas such as the Gediz Delta, Bolkar Mountains, Tuz Gölü, and İstanbul’s Northern Forests. Despite the national and international conservation status of these areas, illegal hunting continues to target vulnerable species. To combat this, the organisation has implemented proactive measures, including the installation of live camera systems, regular field surveys, and the identification and dismantling of poachers' hideouts. Collaborating with local authorities such as the Ministry of Environment and Forestry and Nature Conservation teams, these actions have contributed significantly to reducing wildlife crimes.

Please report on the result /achievement of the actions taken
The actions taken have led to a reduction in illegal hunting activities in the targeted areas. The installation of live camera systems has allowed for real-time monitoring, providing evidence that has been crucial for legal actions against wildlife criminals. Regular field surveys have not only detected illegal activities but have also helped in the implementation of targeted interventions, such as dismantling poachers' shelters in collaboration with local authorities. Awareness campaigns have successfully engaged local communities in conservation efforts, leading to increased awareness in reporting of suspicious activities.
