|
Aquarium Berlin contributes to ex situ conservation of threatened freshwater fishes through successful breeding and management of captive populations in line with IUCN Guidelines on the Use of Ex situ Management. During the reporting period, successful breeding was achieved for six IUCN Red List species: Betta hendra (CR), B. rutilans (CR), B. livida (EN), Parosphromenus anjunganensis (EN), Oreochromis alcalicus (EN) and Tilapia guinasana (CR).
