Capacity building
Building capacity among hundreds of field conservationists to conduct social science research to evaluate the effectiveness of their interventions. Focus is on actors who are either directly managing PCA or are working in the landscape that includes them. In the last year, we have trained 79 researchers and field conservationists in how to use evaluation methods and then explain the evaluation process transparently to help improve PCA management.

Coordination issues

Bringing together so many partners on such a diversity of topics is often a challenge in finding common ground. Working through our new IUCN SSC CSS Behaviour Change at The Living Desert has been a great assistance in coordination of these workshops.
