No Activity Reports were filed for this year. However, there has been follow-up to the calls in this Resolution in an indirect manner. The call for "IUCN Director General and Council, in collaboration with Members and relevant Commissions, to analyse the impact that the withdrawal of countries from MEAs, global processes, fora and funding mechanisms is having and will have on the mission of IUCN, including efforts to achieve globally-agreed biodiversity, climate, health and development goals, along with recommendations on necessary short-term actions to fill gaps and to long-term actions to build resilience to such withdrawals and related unilateral actions" is yet to be followed up to.

Policy influencing/advocacy
In line with several Abu Dhabi Resolutions (e.g. 8.028, 8.032, 8.039, 8.113, and 8.142) and working closely with Commissions, IUCN's policy and advocacy work has, throughout 2026, emphasized the need to uphold multilateralism, the environmental rule of law, and policy coherence across MEAs if we are to address in an effective way the most pressing challenges we currently face. Position papers and key messages have emphasized this.

Policy influencing/advocacy
Providing scientific and technical inputs to MEAs we engage in to influence decisions taken. For example, we relied on the inputs from SSC and WCPA in particular, to engage at the CMS COP-15 tproviding technical and scientific guidance on selected issues in the COP agenda and showcasing IUCN’s work. IUCN called for more effective implementation of CMS‘ Samarkand Strategic Plan for Migratory Species 2024–2032 and highlighted the contributions of CMS to the implementation of the KMGBF.
