Since the adoption of Resolution 073, initial coordination efforts have begun under the leadership of the Resolution sponsors and Secretariat focal point. An introductory meeting was held with representatives of the sponsoring organisations to discuss implementation arrangements, including the establishment of a working group, engagement of relevant IUCN Commissions (WCPA, SSC) and external partners, and the development of a work plan. Potential collaborators and thematic areas for future action were identified, and a follow-up meeting has been scheduled to further define priorities, activities, roles and responsibilities.
At the time of reporting, no activity reports have been submitted by Members, Commissions or other IUCN constituents through the Resolutions Platform. As a result, there is currently no evidence of implementation activities, outputs or results beyond initial coordination and planning discussions. The implementation status is therefore assessed as minimal (0–10%).
Key priorities for the next reporting period include establishing the implementation working group, mapping ongoing activities relevant to the resolution, identifying lead actors and partners, developing a coordinated work plan, and encouraging Members and Commissions to report contributions through the Resolutions Platform
