Track CBD agenda item on Synthetic Biology, with a particular view to ensuring coherence, consistency, and cross-reference with IUCN Policy; specific mentions of the IUCN and the Policy are made in the draft COP17 Decision (Synthesis and review of work), and in its Annex I (Thematic Action Plan). To this end, IUCN nominated a WCEL expert to participate in May 2026 AHTEG; and experts from CEM, WCEL & Secretariat into Open-ended Online Forum 2026.
