Guide to information management in the context of the convention on biological diversity
BCIS Framework for Information Sharing is a set of handbooks available in three languages (French, Spanish and English) on CDRom, with a printed Executive Overview. The handbooks were written to support the growth of information management capacity. Topics are addressed at a managerial level rather than from a technical standpoint in the belief that the greatest challenges in modern information management are organisational rather than technical. Topics include custodianship, data access, metadata, quality assurance, tools and technologies and other subjects.
