IUCN, Science and Knowledge Management Unit

The Conservation Campus at the 2012 IUCN World Conservation Congress was designed to provide an interactive learning environment to build capacity in support of the IUCN Programme, drawing on the knowledge and expertise of the Union.

A knowledge management study was undertaken in the IUCN Eastern and Southern Africa Region by Rod Abson, Science and Knowledge Management Officer in the Science and Knowledge Management Unit of IUCN from the 18th of June to 1st of July 2011.

This report describes and reports on IUCN's participation in the 22nd World Scouts Jamboree, which took place in Rinkady, Sweden, 25 July-8 August 2011. An invitation to participate was extended to the Young Professionals Leadership Team of the CEC to identify people who could join the IUCN team to the Jamboree. A planning team was created consisting of Rod Abson, Ivana Savic (CEC Member) and Andres Morales (CEC Member).

A knowledge management study was undertaken in the IUCN Asia Region by Rod Abson, Science and Knowledge Management Officer in the Science and Knowledge Management Unit of IUCN from the 25th of October to 12th of November 2010.
